Is Obagi Skin Care safe for cosmetic use?

Obagi is a very popular product and was established over 30 years ago in 1988.   Obagi has led transformative research and advanced to become one of the industry’s leading brands for scientifically proven ingredients in skincare.

In a clinical trial, patients who used Obagi Nu-Derm saw notable improvements, including lightening of pigmentation, improved skin tone and texture, and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. In this 24-week study, participants applied Obagi Nui-Derm RX with a 1.0 percent retinol twice daily.

Many Obagi products are prescription-only which means you must have a consultation with nurse Vicki to advise on the products most suitable for your skin.  There are also non-prescription Obagi solutions that are safe to use while pregnant and nursing.  The prescription medications that include Hydroquinone and Tretinoin are classified as Category C for women who are pregnant or nursing, and should not be used.
